New England Crime Bake 2021: Online, Plugged-In, and Exclusive

New England Crime Bake 2021 is offering an online conference beginning xxx, November xx with live sessions through xxx, November xx.

If I’m registered for the in-person conference, am I automatically registered for the online conference?

No. These are two separate events with separate content.

Will the online conference have the same content and speakers as the in-person event?

No. The Crime Bake committee is creating an online conference with exclusive content and many exclusive speakers. The online conference will include interactive workshops, interviews, live chats, breakout rooms, fun polls, informative videos, and more. The sessions’ timing will allow you to attend live events without overlap and view recordings on your own schedule. 

Is the online event only on one day?

No. The online conference will have no more than two live/interactive events per day which will also be recorded. The recorded content will be available for viewing at your convenience.

I cannot attend a scheduled live online session. Will I miss out on that content?

No. The live events allow registrants to ask questions, but all live sessions will be recorded for later viewing at a time of your choosing.

I registered for the in-person event. What if it’s canceled due to COVID?

In the possibility that in-person events are shut down, all registrants will have access to Crime Bake’s online event and your registration will be credited toward Crime Bake 2022.

I paid for a Master Class. What happens if the in-person event is canceled?

Registrants for all Master Classes will be provided with a link to the online class. The session will be recorded for later viewing if you cannot “meet” at the scheduled time.

I paid for the Agent and Editor track. What happens if the in-person event is canceled?

Registrants for the A&E track will be provided instructions on how to access their exclusive content.

I paid for a Manuscript Critique. What happens if the in-person event is canceled?

Manuscript Critiques are discussions between the reviewer and the author and may take place via phone, Zoom, mail, or other as decided between them.

I want to attend only the online conference. Can I sign up for Manuscript Critique?

Yes, subject to availability as there are a limited number of reviewers.

I am a Debut author and want to attend only the online conference. Will I be acknowledged?

No. Crime Bake’s acknowledgment for Debut authors is limited to only to those authors who signed up for the in-person conference.

I want to attend only the online conference. Can I sign up for the Agent and Editor Track?

No. Special arrangements for an online A&E track will be made only in the event of the in-person event being canceled.
